Wonderful
Visually attractive and well looked after. Room (Junior Suite) was a good size and well looked after.
Staff were very friendly
The breakfast was excellent
The music in the bar area, which was coming out of the speakers located up towards the ceiling, was too loud; as such the sound could be heard in our room. It was more annoying and distracting than anything, as it went on till midnight.

The WiFi sucked. I had a Zoom meeting, and the WiFi could not handle the bandwidth even with video off. My room was in the Annex. I had to tether to my phone to Zoom. The heat in the room was nonexistent despite having the thermostat at 25.

Wonderful
I really like this Hotel and have stayed 5 or 6 times now and never had a bad experience. Usually I pay a very reasonable upgrade fee to stay in the Kings Tower, but this time I tried the older original part of the Hotel. It did not disappoint and represented very good value. Has a ‘proper’ Hotel feel to it and will stay again.

Beautiful hotel with lovely room which was modern and functional. The bathroom was small but fine for one night. The bed was very comfy. Excellent location for getting into town on foot. Parking was £15 for 24 hours just next door to the hotel. Dinner in the restaurant was also good. Would recommend for a city break.
The heating was quite hot all night and couldn't be turned down.

Great location, lovely decor, super friendly staff, very clean, comfortable room, great food.
Nothing much a little bit noisy as was by a fire door that slammed when people went through. Would benefit from signs asking people to be quiet when they are going to bed.
