Disappointing
The location and how close it was yo the center of town.
The bed had a leg missing and there was a broken window in the room... also dirty grout in the bathroom.

We were staying with another couple & rooms were different sizes for same price! Also one room was ready, the other would be more than an hour before ready. Staff realised this was not good & sorted 2 rooms same size, close together and ready!
We booked at 4pm to dine at 7.30pm. When we arrived at the dining room, we were told there was a 45 minute wait to be seated!!! Worse still 2 thirds of the menu was no longer available, 10 minutes after that they weee told to stop serving at all! The reception staff went above & beyond to try and source another restaurant that was still serving after 8pm on a Sunday. Very very disappointing for a hotel this size & calibre.

The bar area and the front of the hotel were clean and modern.
The room in which we stayed was dated and gaudy. It was classed as an ‘executive double room’, meaning we paid extra than a standard room. It was possibly one of the furthest rooms from the front of the hotel and on the 7th floor.

Location and staff. All the staff were utterly lovely. Clearly rushed off their feet and dealing with rude and impatient guests, yet incredibly pleasant despite from what I could see was clear provocation by certain guests. The bed was really comfy. Loved the slippers, the beautiful towels and dressing gowns. Nice touches of water, snacks and toiletries.
The bathroom was a little tired and the carpet stained. But nothing other than wear and tear. Everything worked ok. The idiots playing knock and run at 2am on our bedroom door… nothing that the staff or hotel could mess with.

I paid for a superior room and was given what seemed like a regular room. The bathroom was damp and the toilet was filling all night.

Good location, dog friendly, stunning stair case, good room amenities. The foyer, bar and restaurant are beautifully decorated.
The room was very dated. Stain on the duvet cover, strong stale smell in the room upon entry, windows in the bathroom did not shut properly making it very cold and as it was very windy the blinds kept banging all night. The floors kept creaking, shower was stained with scale and there was condensation on the walls. The hotel outside, the bar, restaurant and foyer were beautiful it was as if the rooms were for a different more disappointing hotel.

Lovely clean hotel with good helpful staff.
The room was clean and nicely prepared.
The location was exactly where I needed to be and my friend arrived by train and the location was excellent as it is just over the road from the station.
Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.
Minor changes would have made my visit perfect.
Clearer access signage at the rear door from the car park (there is a tiny button to press). A member of staff who was passing helped me to access the hotel.
The car park is expensive £17.25 for 24 hours. Perhaps the car park doesn’t belong to the hotel.
A few biscuits and more milk in the room.
I didn’t like my quilt having been tucked under the mattress cos it pulls the bottom sheet out when you get into bed.
The room was a little expensive but comfortable and clean.
