Next to railway station. Easy for rail, car, taxi and buses including sightseeing rides.
Very quiet and nicely refurbished.

The hotel is beautiful, bedrooms are lovely, loved the bar & cosy rooms to sit in. Breakfast was very good.
Bedroom was extremely hot, couldn’t lower temperature below 23 degrees. Couldn’t open windows so room was stuffy & hot. Didn’t sleep very well but overall our stay was lovely.

Breakfast had hot plates and variety. Location. Pizza in bar area was nice but drinks very expensive.
I rang up the hotel twice beforehand (one before booking) to ask about disabled parking, both times I was told to bring the badge in and they would validate it for free, on arrival I was told this was not the case and we had to pay £15 so this added to our stay. My friend is disabled and although they gave us a walk in shower as requested they put us in another building away from the main hotel which I can only describe as a not very nice office block. That evening there was a terrible smell in the corridor and stairwell like a sewers it got worse and worse & eventually started seeping into the room it was awful. We had to move rooms in our PJ'S at 10.30 at night which ruined our stay but they did then locate us in the main hotel. The other thing is the phone doesn't work in the room and you are expected to whatsapp or ring a mobile number on your own phone to get room service or reception which I wouldn't expect for a hotel of this nature.

b reakfast excellent. Venue great. Hotel charming.
the chairs in the dining room were far too low.The meal plates were almost level with the top of my chest. They looked good but were not practicable.
Prices in the bar for beer were far too high. Would probably embarass even some London venues.

The hotel staff were amazing very helpful especially the Asian girl on reception she went above and beyond to help make sure our stay was enjoyable. Good size bedroom and also nice choice at breakfast
