Beautiful hotel communal and outdoor areas, opposite the train station. Plenty of parking
Expensive parking and breakfast which wasn't worth £16.95
The shower would not turn on but they did fix quickly
Not enough tea coffee etc
Bar prices were also very expensive for cocktails
Bed springs dug in my back all night in the twin bed
Lighting for ladies doing make up very poor.

The hotel is beautiful, bedrooms are lovely, loved the bar & cosy rooms to sit in. Breakfast was very good.
Bedroom was extremely hot, couldn’t lower temperature below 23 degrees. Couldn’t open windows so room was stuffy & hot. Didn’t sleep very well but overall our stay was lovely.

The hotel had that old world grandness that is sorely missed in todays hotel world. The food was top notch, as was the service of all the hotel staff. The room was the best of the five places that we stayed during the trip and that includes the stateroom we had on the QM2. The location was perfect for the train station and for walking into the main section of town.
Nothing could have been better, it was the best.

Location was good and convenient for the station. The front of house areas were glamourous with an attractive bar area. Breakfast was good with a lot of choice.
It was disappointing to be staying in a modern office block building quite some way away from the main hotel. The room was ok - pillows were small and lumpy but the bed was comfortable. However, my sister had an adjacent room to mine - but it had no TV remote control and no phone to contact reception....

Great location.
The hotel is a beautiful old lady that needs a bit of love on the outside but the inside has some stunning features.
Check in was smooth
Room was as expected,but was chilly but was soon rectified.
The outside of the building untidy and needs some TLC
The breakfast, which we only had on one morning, was not worth £16 a head.
Was well cooked but nothing special.
The bed wasn't great,quite hard and lumpy..
Some investment in new mattresses would be great

Good location. The bed was comfortable. Good sized bathroom. Had a large TV.
The bed seemed to be on the small side of a double. Our room was right next to the lift which was irritating as that's what we heard all night/early morning. The drinks in the bar were more on the expensive side too.
